SOUFFLER N'EST PAS JOUER (GAïA 2) is the second stage of a long-term project initiated during a residency at CERN. After exploring the invisible forces capable of making the body levitate (GAÏA 1), this new creation investigates the essential link between the body and the breath — a vital, spiritual, and political element. Just as breath can exist without us, the human body cannot exist without breath. In GAÏA 2, breathing becomes substance, rhythm, and resistance. A performance that questions our ability to breathe in a saturated world, where clean air has become a luxury. Without breath, there is no life, no humanity.
