CORPS MANQUANT
Description:

As part of Out of the Box - Biennial of Inclusive Arts

Flayed, disconcerting, provocative, authentic, Yann Marussich delivers performances from which one never emerges completely unscathed. As a performance artist, he puts his body to the test, sometimes in danger, and thus questions our intimate and collective definitions of the individual, between body and mind, visible and invisible, strength and weakness. After his triptych Noces de vers, created in collaboration with disabled artist Kamil Guenatri, Yann Marussich continues his exploration of the body and its limits by confronting amputees. In Mozambique, anti-personnel mines have injured or killed thousands of people, mainly civilians. During artistic residencies in this southern African country, Yann Marussich met people who had been amputated as a result of a mine explosion. He came up with this solo performance, which speaks of lack, of war, but above all of dignity and strength of life.

La performance du 21 mai sera suivie d’un bord de scène, celle du 22 mai d’une table ronde réunissant plusieurs intervenant·e·s invité·e·s.
